My experience at Kowon plastic surgery for my primary rhinoplasty (first and last hopefully!) 

My friend and I wanted to get a rhinoplasty and we didn’t want a revision in the future. Let’s be honest, surgery is time, money, and health investment. We went through a couple of clinics: Kowon, eight, noselab, miho and decided on Kowon because:

1. There’s only one doctor there - no shadow clinics 

2. He’s been in the rhinoplasty game since 2006 & results speak for themselves.

3. His results : natural but defined, he understands facial symmetry very well as shown from his video lectures - watch it whenever you can. Know that his results follow facial symmetry so if you want a more dramatic result, I’m p sure he wouldn’t recommend it as it needs to be facially balanced and realistic.

4. He only performs 2-3 surgeries a day

Upon arrival, our lovely translator, Ellie (+82 10-7374-7723 WhatsApp number) gave us a the breakdown, helped us translate what we wanted as we provided Inspo pictures, walked us through the procedure, cost, recovery etc. we decided on using our own cartilage as rejection from a foreign material as well as infection terrified us. Even though your own material reabsorbs, it won’t be by much so we were okay with it.

Surgery day itself: I was more hungry than anything as you have to fast for 6 hours beforehand. Going in, you wash your face, get rid of jewelry and change. You go into the operating room (I was really happy Ellie was there until the operation started because it would’ve been scary to be without a translator in a cold room with just nurses). I only remember the anesthesia then boom, waking up in the recovery room. 

It’s day 3 post op for me right now and I have minimal swelling and bruising. Kowon provided you a detailed list of what to do for post op recovery so def follow it thoroughly ! 

This whole procedure comes with every other day check ups that involve laser treatment for healing and reduce swelling. In addition, 3 trips to an oxygen chamber clinic to reduce swelling.
